Natalya began playing violin at the age of ten because her mother thought it was a good idea. Now she is currently completing her final honours year for a Bachelor of Music at Newcastle Conservatorium under Sue Collins. Natalya has played first violin in Sydney Youth Orchestra, Australian Youth Orchestra, the Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra and Sydney Sinfonia. She also led the orchestra in the world premiere of A Slender Strand of Memories by Colin Spiers, the piece commissioned for Newcastle’s sesquicentenary celebrations.
