STUART SMITH

director, vocals, piano

From the imagination of acclaimed local (Gosford) director (co-ordinator) Stuart Smith comes the Rock Show. Stuart rose to local fame after he directed a production of Shakespeare's Henry V in 2001. He has directed productions of Back to the Eighties, Jesus Christ Superstar and most recently Jon English's rock opera Paris. Stuart created the relatively unknown children's rock opera A Friend For Frankenstein and the musical revue Downtown. As well as The Rock Show, Stuart is currently directing a touring production of Nunsense. With Isaac, Stuart is creating a new musical production titled Counting the Beat a clash of punk music and the literary classic Cyrano DeBergerac... if that fails he will be moving onto the revival of his previously doomed production of The Rime of the Ancient Mariner featuring Jon English as The Albatross.
