I have seen Jon English perform so many times over the past 40 odd years but never in such a fun show. I have stalked Jon from Sebastian Hardie, through Jesus Christ Superstar, Jokers & Queens to the Busker but The Rock show is so refreshing with the mix of personalities and the accomplished multi-instrumental musicianship of every single member of the cast. Last night I witnessed one of the most amazing acts of talent I have ever seen. Jon English and all those incredibly talented young musicians in The Rock Show. What an awesome show, I was totally blown away by the amount of talent on that stage. Jon has not lost any of his charm and charisma over the years and I wish there were more shows on up here in Brisbane, I would be the first one to line up for more tickets. Hi, I loved the show, even though it wasn't about Jon and he didn't star in it a lot. He, or actually, his team provided the music from an era that was famous and loved. The musicians were wonderful (or are they called artists today). It was music that we all enjoy from all ages. Still think he is cute (1964).

Caught the show in Shepparton, wow what a fantastic talented group of young performers! Wasn't quite sure what to expect but was more than pleased with the enthusiasm of the kids and the professionalism of Jon (who my friend first saw in Pirates - just a few years ago). The song lists were excellent and I was not the only person singing and clapping away in the audience. I have told everyone I know what a good night it was I hope to see it again!!

My husband & I saw your show at the Palais last night, 15th April. I must say that we were a little sceptical but we were so wrong to think that way. We were blown away. The talent of the cast was beyond what we could ever have expected and we enjoyed ourselves so much that we can't wait for Rock Show 2. To everyone who is involved in this incredible production, thank you. I cannot recommend it highly enough - it was just absolutely amazing. Even though I was aware that the show was choreographed and rehearsed, it did not seem like that - you all seemed to be having such a great time doing what you do best, playing and singing great music and entertaining the whole audience. I'm sure there is not one person who does not feel like me and if they do, maybe next time they should just stay home.

I have just seen my second Rock Show at Wollongong,and what a great show it was, the talent on show is unbelievable, I was expecting the same same as 6 months before, but was treated to a different show with new songs.
If your thinking about going, do it, you won't be disappointed and I'm sure you will be back for more when they are back in your town again.

Just emailing to say that my friend and I saw the show on Saturday night in Launceston, Tasmania. I haven't the words to describe what we saw. We were just bowled over by the experience of it. The talent of everyone was amazing and that word does not do them justice. We had the hair stand up on our necks on more than one occasion during the performance. The mix of songs was fantastic, I think there was only one song that we weren't familiar with.
The only thing that I was a little disappointed with was that Jon didn't do the full version of Hollywood 7, but maybe if we ask nicely he may consider that for Rock Show 2!!
We did tell everyone on the night at autographs that they were great, but pass on to them all again that we had the best time and truly appreciated their talent.

My wife and I saw your Show last year in Hobart and we were ABSOLUTELY blown away!! We couldn't wait to tell our kids what we had just experienced. We then had the opportunity to see it again this year in Hobart (Feb 4th 2011 - thank you so much!) and our whole family went along for the great entertainment spectactular! Aaron (26), Chloe (20) & Meg (13) had the best seats right in front of the stage, 4 rows back and they could not keep still. They were absolutely mesmerised by the energy, talent, confidence and of course the music you guys gave all of us. They have been to many concerts (today's bands) and they said it just does not compare to the experience they just had. They were also grateful for the band spending time to talk with them and give them autographs after the show and also have there pictures taken with you guys. Thank you again for a great night and we all hope to see "The Rock Show 2" next year.

Mum and I went to your concert last night in Hobart. we thought it was amazing! I loved the music! I am 14 and love that sort of music! I am a singer and play guitar, clarinet and bass clarinet. But I love my singing the most. I have my acoustic guitar but I am saving up for an electric one. I hope to go to a performing arts college when I leave school. I love my music. We will be back next year with heaps of our friends.

I went with my wife and kids (aged 13 and 12) to see The Rock Show for the first time at Cessnock Performing Arts Centre last Saturday night and we were absolutely blown away by the quality of the musos involved. A highlight among many was Stuart's soaring vocals on Kashmir - Robert Plant would have been jealous! It's wonderful to see such up and coming Aussie talent collaborating with a legend like Jon. My two boys are budding musos (sax, guitar, piano and clarinet) and I know they both left the show inspired to perform. Thank you everyone and please hurry back to the Hunter Valley.

I took my husband to see your show at Port Macquarie Glasshouse on 17th July. It was his birthday pressie and he was speechless and said it was the best birthday pressie he had ever received and he would never forget it. Let me tell you, you played his favourite groups and songs. He is a rock fanatic and he was amazed. I was telling anyone who would listen to me about the Rock Show. It was that great we would have gone the next night again if you were playing. I also wrote into the local newspaper about it. The young talent that was on that stage was incredible and they should be proud of themselves. I will be keeping an eye out for them and I wish them great success individually as well.

I am still buzzing over it. I have seen many international concerts and paid big bucks too, but Jon and his troupe were above world class. We had brilliant seats, and the whole night I couldn't stop dancing on my chair and singing along to the great songs. He made me relive my teens. We were absolutely blown away by energy, sound and quality of The Rock Show [Sawtell]. The sheer talent and versatility of the musicians on stage had to be seen to be believed. I have never seen a lead guitarist play a cello and a piano before in a show! Whoever put this show and all of these wonderfully talented people is a genius. Guys, went along to The Rock Show in Nambour last night and was absolutely blown away by what I saw. The extraordinarily talented group of young musicians accompanied by the ageless Jon English left me speechless. 3 Standing ovations speaks volumes for the calibre of show they presented. I can't believe how incredibly gifted these guys are. The best show I have seen in years. Only downside was that the theatre was not completely full. Best concert I have been to for years! My mum, myself and my children organised a night out in Dubbo and we could not have picked better. The mix of songs was fantastic, the talent was out of this world, and the time just flew..please come back! The diversity of all the performers was just stunning and amazing. Had a great night, singing (knew most of the words to all those songs), clapping and laughing. I would come back again and again to see you, and yes, now that I know what you're all about, I will bring a bus load of friends.

Thanks for the great show in Griffith,Thursday 29/4/10. Thanks for not FADING AWAY!!! It brought me back to life! Those kids were amazing!!! The directors at the YOOGALI Club might give them an audience? We are a bit disappointed because our teenagers did not come to your show, thinking it was not for them!! Being so into bands and music, they really are soooo wrong!! They would have loved it! I'm also somewhat disappointed that, at short notice, I couldn't arrange tickets for the Wagga show. It's almost a 2 hour drive for us, but we would have taken the girls over and back IF possible. So, we would just like to end by saying that IF it is at all possible for you to put your show on again in Griffith over the next few months, we would definitely go again, and take the WHOLE family for sure!! Please think about it...you know you want to! And, if word gets around about last night's show, it should be a full house!!

Just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS on a truly amazing performance, we went to see the Rock Show last night at the Laycock Theatre in Gosford. The show was the best that we have seen in a long, long time. Such an amazing bunch of musos. Everyone involved should be so proud of themselves. Once again a standing ovation from the audience who I think could have stayed all night and listened. I was fortunate enough to see The Rock Show when it was in Hobart in February. I just wanted to send an email to say how much I enjoyed the show. It was one of the best shows I have seen in years. Please pass on my thanks to Jon English and the cast. They are a brilliant bunch of musicians. I was disappointed when the show ended - I could have watched it all night…... I hope they come back again with a similar format. We will certainly be going if they do.

Just returned from the Rock Show in Launceston, 6th Feb. I have been to many shows but this was so amazing that I have been moved to write for the first time. Ten incredibly multi-talented musicians and singers on stage at the one time, presenting the great musical hits of the 60's & 70's, with a story line to boot and lots of fun. Everyone who lived in that era should not miss this show and likewise everyone else who simply enjoys music. Jon and all the Rock Show team, thank you so much for bringing your show to Tassie and for donating the proceeds to saving the Tassie Devil. You are a legend!

I went to see the Rock Show to the Princess Theatre in Launceston last night and just wanted to say thanks for the BRILLIANT show. It's great to see that Jon, as a childhood hero of mine, still has the enthusiasm and energy to go out and entertain and give his audience something innovative. The only disappointment for the evening were Jon's supporting artists. It is a major disappointment that such brilliantly talented artists have been hidden from the public for so long! It is encouraging to see that we have a group of true musicians THAT CAN ACTUALLY PERFORM! I can't see any of these performers needing to "sample" anyone's music in order to make a quick buck in the future? They seem to have enough enthusiasm and passion to last a long time. The combination of Jon and these musicians was a genius move... Congratulations all round! I hope you realize that you are all going to have to come back. Thank you for donating your time and energy to help save our Tasmanian Devils. They may not personally appreciate it but the majority of Tasmanians do. Our friends, who were coming to The Rock Show in Hobart, were unable to make it. They missed a truly great show with wonderful young performers singing and playing with Jon. Talking to one of the organisers after the show, she told us the show was being filmed. Is a DVD going to be released and approx when? I would like to buy a copy for our friends so they can enjoy the music. Hope we see it again if Jon and company return to Hobart. I went along to the Princess Theatre in Launceston to see the rock show with 2 friends, not really knowing what to expect. We were totally blown away with the quality of talent presented on stage. It was only through pure luck that we found it was even on as it wasn't widely advertised in the N.W. coast of Tassie. It was the best $45 we ever spent and to know that the profits are going to the save the devil foundation just made it all the more worthwhile! Thanks for bringing such a class act to Tassie, wish there were more performances to come, I would sure advise all my friends to go. Thanks.

Last night my husband and I had the pleasure of seeing The Rock Show in Launceston, Tasmania. It was an incredible experience. We have just returned home from seeing "The Rock Show" at the Seymour Centre. It was one of the best gigs we have ever been to. You lost nothing to the youngsters. The assembled talent was brilliant, I don't want to pick a favourite, but Stuart had me mesmorised through the whole event. The voices, instruments and song selection were superb. Absolutely brilliant!... (A friend) thought it was the best show he'd ever seen at BMEC and as good as 'Buddy' which we saw together at The Lyric. A mate I coffee with each week at "Codgers" just said how much he enjoyed it - he hoped the kids would stay together and reckoned they are good enough to do Crown Casino on a regular basis! I sat with Michelle & Gary from the station and they loved it as did my wife who plays in the Bathurst Chamber Orchestra and couldn't believe the musicality of the performers. I loved the use of flute, French horn, cello etc - just brilliant! All up a huge hit - the theatre was packed and gave a standing ovation; Jon himself is wonderfully self effacing and unassuming but clearly a loved father figure. The number of people who said they can't wait for next year's return performance is amazing.

The show was awesome!! We all had the best time. Thank you! Isaac waved to Harrison from on stage which made his entire night and on the way home he wanted to go back for more music. I used to own a music school and music shop a few years ago and have been to a lot of shows over the years, but I have never seen so much talent or enjoyed a show as much as the Rock Show. It was by far the best performance I've seen. Everyone was just amazing! I was speaking to a girlfriend this morning and we're going to go down to Sydney to see the next show at the Seymour. I would just like to say how much I enjoyed 'The Rock Show' in Bathurst the other night, it rocked. (I left it a bit late getting tickets as I never found out about it till late, so I was up the back, up on the second floor - but it worked out well cause when we got up to dance we weren't in anyones road).....everyone on that stage was fantastic. Wow! What a show. We saw The Rock Show last night in Tamworth and were dazzled by the performance. I have never commented on a show before but the multi skills of these young people and the master himself left us gob smacked. My sister travelled from Narrabri and enjoyed every second, remembering when she saw "Jesus Christ Superstar" in Sydney all those years ago. I absolutely loved "Pirates" when I saw it too. Saw The Rock Show Friday night. Absolutely brilliant! We joined in the standing ovation after the second encore. I know a lot of people who were considering watching it again the next night (and by all accounts they might have just done that). I think you'll find if you bring another show to town 'word of mouth' will sell it for you (although I still recommend using radio - we're the best 'word of mouth' you can get). Had phone calls this morning praising the show as well.

I went to the Rock Show this Friday night with my Dad and some friends. I had the time of my life. The young guys on stage were some of the best performers I've ever seen. The fellow playing lead guitar, along with cello, violin, and piano was incredible.
And to see Jon on stage, and to hear Hollywood Seven (even though it was a cut down version) was incredible, it's been one of my favourite songs for a long time. I was fortunate enough to wait back and meet Jon and have my ticket and my CD signed and Jon was a total gentleman. He would have had to have been worn out after 3hrs of performing, but he didn't show it and he greeted every one of his fans with a smile, posed for photos, and signed for hours.
So, to the cast and crew of the Rock Show and to Jon English, I thank you very much for a brilliant, great value night out.

I took a lady friend to see Jon's Rock Show at the Shoalhaven Entertainment centre last night (Sat 31 Jan) and we had an absolute ball. The show is a WINNER!!! "Australia's got Talent" is a massive understatement. This show is evidence of that. I just had to send this email, because I have never enjoyed a show as much as I enjoyed the "Rock Show" in Nowra on the 31st January, 2009. WOW!!! My fiance bought tickets for the show in December as my Christmas present and waiting until January was the longest time ... lol. Anyway, what a spectacular show, the awesome multi-talented performers gave me goose-bumps and the songs brought back all the memories of some of the best music EVER. I have forgotten the names of some of the performers but was particularly impressed with the young red head on guitar " Stuart and the young 16 year old ... wow, what a voice and instrumentalist to boot. Could someone please email me the names of the performers in the show and any information regarding performances in the future, please? Just wondering if the show will be playing anywhere else and if so, where? I would love to see the show again ... ha ... come back to Nowra ... we loved you.
